TİKA Stands with Gazans This Ramadan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) continues to support Palestinians in Gaza during Ramadan by preparing iftar meals and distributing food packages.

Gaza, devastated by war, remains in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Since the war began in October 2023, approximately 50,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, and more than 110,000 have been injured. With 90% of homes damaged and nearly 2 million people displaced, the severe restrictions on aid inflows have led to a critical shortage of food, water, and healthcare services.

Continuing its support for Gazans under these challenging conditions, TİKA has begun delivering food packages to 2,500 families as part of its 2025 Ramadan program. The packages, distributed in central and northern Gaza, contain essential food items such as rice, sugar, tomato paste, sunflower oil, olive oil, dates, cheese, jam, and canned goods.

Additionally, TİKA plans to distribute approximately 100,000 iftar meals throughout Ramadan via the TİKA Ramadan Kitchen, established in collaboration with local non-governmental organizations.

TİKA remains committed to supporting the people of Gaza through its humanitarian aid efforts, keeping the spirit of solidarity alive during Ramadan.
