Born in Istanbul in 1968, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy graduated from the German High School and later from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Business Administration, where he majored in English Business Administration. His career in the tourism industry began in 1985 while he was still in high school, working as a guide.
After completing his university education in 1991, he established a company providing package tours and hotel accommodation services. In 2000, he expanded his ventures into the hotel industry. With 33 years of experience in tourism, Ersoy was appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 9, 2018. Upon taking office, he transferred all his responsibilities and titles within his company. Fluent in German and English, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy is married to Pervin Ersoy and has two children.
