Our Activities

As a global development cooperation organization, TİKA implements a wide range of projects that address every stage of a person’s life from birth to adulthood, across regions including the Balkans, Central Asia, Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Operating in over 170 countries, TİKA has contributed to areas such as education and health, production, agriculture and animal husbandry, strengthening social and administrative infrastructures, employment, access to clean water and cultural development. To date, TİKA has carried out more than 30,000 projects and activities.

TİKA shares the experiences of Türkiye’s public institutions and organizations, universities, local governments and civil society organizations with other countries. It supports the development of both the institutional infrastructures of public institutions and civil society organizations, as well as the enhancement of human resource competencies in the regions where it operates.

Recognizing that development is not only about its economic dimension but also involves the protection, preservation and enrichment of social and cultural values, TİKA designs sustainable, multi-faceted development projects aimed at disadvantaged groups, especially women, people with disabilities, orphans, war victims and low-income communities.

Efforts are underway to protect, restore and make accessible to the public the shared cultural and historical artifacts around the world, particularly in the Balkans, Central Asia and North Africa. Through its projects, TİKA contributes to addressing global challenges and promoting sustainable development across all societies. The organization continues to build bridges of goodwill, connecting Anatolia to the rest of the world.
