The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) coordinated a Training of Trainers Programme on Homicide Investigation Techniques in Islamabad on 19–23 October 2026, in cooperation with the Turkish National Police and Pakistan’s National Police Bureau.

The programme brought together 30 police officers from the Islamabad Capital Territory and various cities across Punjab to strengthen their professional knowledge and skills in investigating homicide cases.

Delivered by three expert trainers from the Turkish National Police, the five-day programme covered crime scene procedures, investigation processes, interviewing techniques, investigations into organised homicide, forensic examination and forensic medicine, as well as technical and physical surveillance.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Captain (Retd.) Atta Muhammad, Director of Pakistan’s National Police Bureau, described the training as productive and thanked the Turkish National Police and TİKA for their support.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pakistan, İrfan Neziroğlu, highlighted the brotherly ties between the two countries and underscored the importance of expanding programmes that strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience between their institutions.

The programme concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants.
