Heavy rains in Bangladesh since August 20 have led to widespread flooding across many regions of the country. Areas such as Moulvibazar, Lakshmipur, Habiganj, Feni, Cumilla, Chattogram and Noakhali have experienced significant flooding of roads and homes. The main highway connecting the capital, Dhaka with the country’s second-largest city, Chattogram was closed due to the floods.
