19 September 2013An Ambulance Is Supplied To The Carribean Country Of Saint Lucia
The ambulance which was supplied by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Directorate to the Caribbean country of Saint Lucia was delivered to the Saint Lucia Fire Department.
TİKA continues activities in the region of Latin America. While carrying out collaborations and projects with a number of different countries in the area including Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Argentina and Cuba, TİKA has provided and ambulance to the Caribbean country of Saint Lucia.
The ambulance, which was provided by TİKA to be used in the Saint Lucia Fire Department, was presented to authorities in a ceremony organized for the occasion. The ceremony was attended by Turkey’s acting Honorary Consul Victor Poyotte, Saint Lucia Ministry of Justice, Internal Affairs and Defense Hon. Philip La Corbinere, Saint Lucia Fire Department Chairman Leslie Fontinelle and officials. During the ceremony Turkey’s acting Honorary Consul Poyotte presented the keys to the ambulance to Saint Lucia Ministry of Justice, Internal Affairs and Defense Hon. Philip La Corbinere.
The officials of St Lucia, which is a member of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) comprised of all the Caribbean countries and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), thanked TİKA for the donation and expressed their hope for the continuation of such cooperation in the future.
