Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) delivered electric generator to Ottoman Culture Centers, operated by Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) in Gaza.
Ottoman Culture Center offers tuition-free education and training to women and the youth in vocational and technical fields as well as religious studies. There are about 20 courses from 5 disciplines, currently open at Ottoman Culture Center, which was established by the Humanitarian Relief Foundation at the Gaza Strip in 2009. The center hosts 300 students daily and it also offers English, Computer, Electronic repair, sewing, embroidery, knitting and Holy Qur’an recitation classes.
Last year, TIKA had aided the Ottoman Culture Center by delivering 80 sewing machines to women students as a motivation to support their families. This year, TIKA delivered a 50KW electric generator to enable the culture center to provide uninterrupted service.
With the successful implementation of the project by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, the Ottoman Culture Center in Gaza has been enabled to deliver uninterrupted service and vocational trainings that directly and positively contribute to life in Gaza.
