Energy Support to Palestinian Bar Association from TİKA

Within the scope of the project carried out in the Gaza Strip, which is under the Israeli blockade, a solar energy system was built in the Palestinian Bar Association headquarters in Gaza by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

Along with the socioeconomic problems continuing for years in Gaza, which is under Israeli blockade, having a power outage more than half of the day affects life negatively.

Having nearly 2,500 members and providing vocational training for hundreds of junior counsels, the Bar Association in Gaza is also affected negatively by the power outages.

With this system in Gaza, where approximately 330 days are sunny, the negative effect of the power outage on the Palestinian Bar Association is prevented and there has been a cut back on the power cost.

Deputy Head of the Palestinian Bar Association, Safi Mahmood Al-Dahdoh, stated that TİKA is always with the Palestinian people, and they carried out many projects in needed fields.

Dahdoh thanked Türkiye, the Turkish people and TİKA for the project, which solved the power outage lasting for approximately 16 hours a day.
