Erenler Sofrası is in Kyrgyzstan
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has started the food aid program which will be provided for 3,000 families in Kyrgyzstan as part of the Erenler Sofrası Ramadan Program.
Since the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey declared 2021 as the Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language, the Year of Haji Bektash Veli and the Year of Ahi Evran, TİKA has been going on with the Ramadan social solidarity projects, which were organized under the name “Erenler Sofrası”, in Kyrgyzstan.
The handover ceremony, which was held in the Kyrgyz Red Crescent Headquarters, was attended by the Kyrgyz Red Crescent Director Çingiz Çakıpov, TİKA’s Bishkek Coordinator Osman Usta, the Red Crescent volunteers, needy people and press members.
In his speech, the Kyrgyz Red Crescent Director Çingiz Çakıpov stated that they had been delivering the Ramadan aid packages all over the country as the Red Crescent, and he expressed his gratitude towards TİKA for their support.
TİKA Coordinator Osman Usta, on the other hand, reminded that they had been sharing the support of the Turkish people with the needy people in 87 countries as part of the charity and solidarity concept of the month of Ramadan under the name “Erenler Sofrası”, which was dedicated to the builders of the bridge that had been spreading affection among these cultures. He also stated that they would be handing out food and hygiene supplies to 3,000 families all around Kyrgyzstan during the month of Ramadan.
TİKA carries out the Ramadan aid program in Kyrgyzstan in cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Health and Social Development, the Kyrgyz Red Crescent, Meskhetian Turks Association, Uyghur Alliance Association, Dungan Association, Association for the People of Black Sea, Association for the Visually Challenged, Ruka v Ruke Autism Association, and Hope Source Association.
