Food Parcels from TİKA to 2000 Families in Mongolia

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed food parcels to 2000 poor families in different parts of Mongolia as part of its Ramadan program. The food parcels were particularly aimed at Dukha Turks, Tuva Turks and Khoton Turks.

As part of its Ramadan program that aims to give aid to 2000 families in Mongolia, TİKA distributed food parcels that contain flour, sugar, vegetable oil, rice, pasta, tea and cookies to 650 poor and needy families in the Bayan-Ölgii province, where Mongolians of Kazak origins live.  

The food parcels were delivered to the families in need within a program. Dr. Ümit Naci Yorulmaz, the Vice President of TİKA, Koneyev Sekye, Vice Governor of Bayan- Ölgii, 13 village headmen, TİKA delegation and local press members participated in the program.

Dr. Ümit Naci Yorulmaz, the Vice President of TİKA gave a speech program and said that they are happy to be with the Muslims in Ramadan. He added that TİKA grants food aid to many countries in Ramadan. Yorulmaz indicated that this year a total of 2000 food parcels have been distributed across Mongolia. He maintained that they are pleased that they could side with their Kazak brothers in such a meaningful month.

The Vice Governor of Bayan-Ölgii thanked TİKA for supporting them in a difficult time and said that they are grateful to Turkish people, who are their brothers.
