Media-related Equipment Support from TİKA to Namibia

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided technical equipment support to New Era which is one of the most effective newspapers in Namibia.

Achieving significant works in the field of journalism in Namibia, The New Era Newspaper came into action in 1992.

In order to increase the online content production capacity and build an infrastructure capable of live streaming via the internet, technical equipment such as cameras, microphones, audio and video mixers were provided to the newspaper which has been announcing national and international, economic, cultural, and social up-to-date news to the people of Namibia.

Attending the delivery ceremony of the project, Chairman of the Executive Board of New Era, John Sifani stated that the online content production capacity of New Era, particularly its social media platforms, would significantly increase as a result of this project. Sifani thanked TİKA and Turkish people for their support.
