27 December 2021TİKA Implemented a Capacity-Building Project for ARMA, a Government Agency in Ukraine
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided ARMA, a Government Agency in Ukraine, with software and hardware for “Finding, Tracing, and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption or Other Crimes.”
As part of the project, various pieces of software and special high-tech computer equipment were provided for the establishment of an IT laboratory to facilitate the identification and tracing of the assets in the country by ARMA and strengthen the cooperation between institutions in the fight against corruption and crimes.
In his speech at the delivery ceremony of the project, Dmytro Zhoravovych, Head of ARMA, thanked TİKA for implementing this critical project in a short time in cooperation with ARMA and adopting a constructive approach during the execution phase of the project. Ahmet Yağmur Güldere, the Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador to Kiev, referred to the good relations between Turkey and Ukraine in many fields, including trade, investment, and tourism, and noted that the Republic of Turkey would continue to support the reforms introduced by Ukraine, its strategic partner.
Cüneyt Esmer, TİKA’s Coordinator, said he was pleased to be involved in this strategic project for Ukraine, which aimed to strengthen ARMA’s institutional infrastructure, and wished the Agency success in its programs for the fight against corruption and cybercrimes.
