TİKA Put a Smile on the Faces of Orphans in Afghanistan

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) took 80 orphans from the orphanage in Mazar-i-Sharif to the amusement park on Eid al-Adha.

The program that was carried out with the motto, “A smile on the face of an orphan is worth all our efforts” offered a great time to the children accompanied by TİKA officials as they enjoyed rides at bumper cars, roller coaster, Ferris wheel, and gondola.

The Director of the Orphanage, Ruhafza Akbari offered his gratitude to TİKA for the Eid event organized as a social activity for the Orphanage of Mazar-i-Sharif. Director Akbari said, “Taking them to the amusement park for a fun day outside the orphanage, especially on the day of Eid really excited and pleased the children. TİKA did not forget about the children on Eid and this event truly put a smile on their faces.  What gift can be better than this for children on this holy day, may Allah bless the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish People.”
