TİKA's Erenler Sofrası is in Argentina

As part of the “Erenler Sofrası” Ramadan Program, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed 600 Ramadan packages in Argentina.

TİKA reached out a helping hand to the needy people in Argentina by delivering Ramadan packages to 200 families in the cities of Córdoba and Mendoza.

In cooperation with the Córdoba Islamic Center, the first distribution took place in Córdoba, the second most populated city in Argentina after Buenos Aires. Jihad Suleiman, the President of the Islamic Center, expressed his gratitude for the support by saying: “As part of the Ramadan program, TİKA distributed 100 food packages in cooperation with the Córdoba Islamic Center in Argentina. On behalf of the Executive Board, we'd like to thank TİKA and the Turkish government for their precious support for the Muslim people in Argentina in the holy month of Ramadan. May Allah bless everyone who took part in this noble mission.”

In Mendoza, where lots of families who work informally have been affected financially, 100 families were distributed food packages with the cooperation of TİKA and the Arab Islamic Center. Ahmed Muza, the President of the Mendoza Islamic Center, said: “On behalf of the Mendoza Islamic Center Executive Board and the Muslim community in Mendoza, we'd like to extend our utmost gratitude towards TİKA for the support they provided for our brothers in dire straits. Thanks to TİKA, they had a good Ramadan. Thank you”.

Furthermore, 400 food packages were delivered to needy families and the members of the Buenos Aires Muslim community in cooperation with the Argentina Islamic Center in Buenos Aires.
