The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Carries Out a Vocational Training Project in Mozambique.
The second stage of the vocational training projects, which were initially started by TİKA in August last year, continue with the participation of 40 students.
Vocational trainings on Welding, Machinery Maintenance and Repair and Turning were carried out with 40 trainees at Armando Emilio Guebuza Vocational School located in Matola, the most important industrial town of African country Mozambique. Students in Mozambique were lectured by five Turkish instructors for five weeks (160 hours). Vocational trainings carried out through a collaboration between Ministry of Science, Technology, Higher, Technical and Professional Education and TİKA aim to provide vocational and technical education and train a qualified workforce, which are among the principal needs in Mozambique.
The trainings, which were carried out as part of TİKA’s Vocational Training and Employment Program (MESİP), aim to share the technical experience of Turkish industry and industrialists with many countries that are in need. At the end of the project, successful students are going to be brought in to Turkey to teach them about the Turkish industry and afterwards, they are going to return to their country and teach their fellow citizens about what they have learned.
