Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided 3 silage baler and wrapper machines to the Punjab Institution of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development in Sargodha, Pakistan.
Pakistan continues to put effort towards making machines more widespread to increase labor productivity in agriculture and animal husbandry and avoid wasting time. Carrying out the “Development of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in Pakistan Program” within this scope, TİKA provided silage baler and wrapper machines to the Punjab Institution of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development.
Farmers and Students are Receiving Training
Working as an experimental station that has served farmers in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry since 1984, the Punjab Institution of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development – Experimental Station of Sargodha also supports the training of farmers and university students in the subjects of modern agricultural methods, dairy production, and marketing.
The farmers will receive a wrapping service in Sargodha
In his speech during the delivery ceremony, the President of the Institution, Nedim Aktar, stated that there are approximately 1,000 cattle and 900 sheep in the institution, producing 1,500 liters of milk per day. Aktar stated that thanks to the silage baler and wrapper machines, the farmers who live in the region will get the baler wrappings on the spot, thus receiving a wrapping service in Sargodha.
Along with the modern dairy unit and training center installed with support from TİKA in previous years and the silage baler and wrapper machines provided within the scope of this project, the aim is to produce 60,000 balers per year.
