TİKA Completes Its Ramadan Program in Croatia

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed 2,000 halal food parcels to those in need as part of its Ramadan program across Croatia.

In line with its commitment to humanitarian aid, TİKA provided food assistance to 2,000 families throughout the country, ensuring support was extended solely based on need without any ethnic or religious distinction.

The distributions covered Sisak and Petrinja, which were granted special status following the 2020 earthquakes, as well as the cities of Gunja and Vojnić, identified by the Croatian government as among the most in need of socio-economic support.

Additionally, food parcels were delivered to the capital, Zagreb, as well as the cities of Pula and Rijeka, considering population density and demand.

TİKA coordinated the distribution of approximately 40 tons of food parcels in collaboration with local administrations, social solidarity institutions, and soup kitchens affiliated with these organizations.

TİKA’s Ramadan activities in Croatia cherished social harmony by bringing together people from different backgrounds. At the same time, by facilitating cooperation among local institutions, the initiative helped keep Türkiye’s tradition of sharing and solidarity alive beyond its borders.
