TİKA Established a TV Studio for Tunisia News Agency

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) established a state-of-the-art TV studio for Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP). 

The TV studio, equipped with modern technological devices in cooperation between TİKA and TAP, features three sections: a studio, a show, and an editing room. 

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Çağlar Fahri Çakıralp; TİKA’s Vice President, Rahman Nurdun; TAP’s General Manager, Najeh Missaoui; TİKA’s Coordinator in Tunis, Ali Fuat Cebeci; foreign press working in Tunis, and TAP employees attended the opening ceremony of the studio established at the headquarters of TAP in Tunis, the capital city. 

Ambassador Çakıralp stated that the TV studio established by TİKA for TAP will greatly contribute to the public’s access to information accurately and effectively. He also said, “As you are aware, TİKA has been operating in Tunisia since 2012 and has completed more than 200 projects to date. We are proud of our brotherly relationship with Tunisia, and we hope that our collaboration will continue in the future as well.” 

During his speech at the ceremony, TİKA’s Vice President, Nurdun, expressed that the project, which is considered the first step in collaboration in the field of media, is of great importance as it marks the first stage of improving institutional capacity. 

Nurdun also added,

“The project of establishing such a modern studio to support the country’s institutional infrastructure in the field of media is remarkably important. We aim for media projects, which we prioritize, to continue diversifying with training, equipment support and mutual collaborations.” 

TAP’s General Manager, Missaoui, also said, “The studio, fully established by TİKA, is an important development that will enhance the visual and audio production of our news agency through a new vision.”
