27 March 2025TİKA Establishes “Psychological Counseling Center” in Mongolia
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) launched an important project to increase access to psychological counseling services in Mongolia. The first Psychological Counseling Center, which aims to set an example in the country, has been established at Otgontenger University in the capital, Ulaanbaatar in cooperation with the Mongolian Psychologists Association.
The newly established center is designed to support the applied education of psychology students while strengthening the mental health of both academics and the general public by offering individual and group counseling services.
This project, implemented with the support of TİKA, aims not only to provide counseling services but also to contribute to the training of qualified human resources in the field of psychology in Mongolia. The project is expected to help prevent mental illnesses, reduce suicide rates, and promote a culture of psychological support within society.
Equipped to international standards, the center offers the necessary infrastructure for professionals working in the field of psychology to continue their work. It will provide services for students and academic staff, as well as for all individuals in need of psychological support.
