TİKA Organizes Iftar Program for Children in Pakistan

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) organized a special iftar program in Islamabad to mark World Orphans Day. The event brought together 200 children under the care of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and Al Khidmat Foundation. During the program, TİKA distributed gift packages containing Eid clothes and stationery sets to the children.

The event was attended by officials from Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations in Pakistan, and Turkish university students. Speaking at the event, TİKA Islamabad Coordinator Saliha Tuna emphasized the spirit of Ramadan as a time for solidarity, sharing, and brotherhood, stating:

“Today, we are not only gathering for an iftar meal but also to make our beloved children feel how precious and special they are. Dear children, you are the future scientists, teachers, artists, and leaders. Know that in Türkiye, there is a friendly nation that cares about you and wants to see you succeed. We are here as representatives of the Turkish people’s love and friendship for you.”

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director Shaheen Khalid Butt expressed his gratitude to TİKA for its longstanding partnership and continued support.

As part of its Ramadan initiatives, TİKA will distribute a total of 3,000 food packages to families in need across Pakistan. Through humanitarian aid projects, TİKA remains committed to strengthening the bond of brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye and fostering a spirit of solidarity.
