400 Food Packages Were Delivered to Families in Need in Colombia

Within the “Ramadan Program” supported by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), 400 food packages were distributed in two cities in Colombia.

In cooperation between TİKA, the Abou Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in Bogotá, the Islamic Center of Santa Fe de Bogotá/the Istanbul Mosque, the Al-Qurtubi Center for Islamic Studies and the Mosque of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab in Maicao, 400 food packages were distributed to families in need in the cities of Bogotá and Maicao. In consequence of the aid program, Ramadan food parcels were delivered to approximately 1,600 people.

Carlos Sánchez, the Head and Legal Representative of the Istanbul Mosque, played a significant role in the success of the aid program.

Sánchez expressed his feelings as follows,

“I would like to express our gratitude to TİKA on behalf of myself, the board of directors and the society, for the precious support they provided”.
