A Gift from TİKA to Rohingya Children on the Occasion of Eid

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) renovated and inaugurated the playground in the refugee camp, in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, which was previously built but severely damaged during the fire that occurred at the beginning of this year.

The fire, which occurred on January 7, 2024 in the refugee camp, affected nearly 1,000 houses and social areas nearby and deprived children of the playground.

TİKA took action to rebuild the playground and worked hard to renovate it. The playground was officially opened for use by children with a ceremony held just before Eid al-Fitr.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the manager of the refugee camp, Ahsan Habib stated, “Türkiye, which supports the Bangladesh government in every field, never forgets Rohingya refugees and contributes to crisis management with its institutions such as TİKA. Our children will never forget this precious gift.”
