14 November 2022TİKA Supports Health Infrastructure in Lebanon
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided medical equipment support to Irfan Medical Center in the region of Shouf within the Mount Lebanon Governorate where the Druze are predominantly located in Lebanon.
In cooperation with TİKA and Irfan Establishment, medical equipment support was provided to Irfan Medical Center, which is in service with about 150 personnel in the Shouf region, to strengthen the infrastructure of health care services in Lebanon. The surgical operations were ensured to be safer with the delivery of the electrosurgical unit.
Ambassador of Türkiye to Lebanon, Ali Barış Ulusoy, TİKA’s Coordinator, Orhan Aydın, President of Irfan Establishment, Druze Sheikh Nazih Rafea, members of the parliament, Dr. Bilal Abdallah and Marwan Hamadeh, former minister and deputy, Marvan Hamadeh, and representatives of the association and hospital attended the ceremony for delivery.
Speaking at the ceremony, Druze Leader Canbolat said that it is meaningful for TİKA to support Lebanon which is going through an economically difficult process.
Ambassador Ulusoy stated that today one more project has been added to the projects TİKA has carried out in all fields in Lebanon.
