01 April 2024TİKA Continues Delivering Ramadan Aid to People in Need in Pakistan
As part of the “Ramadan Programs,” Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) delivered approximately 30 tons of food aid to a total of 1,000 families across three different regions in the Sindh province of Pakistan.
Within the “Ramadan Programs,” which initiated with an iftar dinner for 1,000 people organized through cooperation between TİKA and Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal in the province of Sindh, at the first stage essential food packages were distributed to 300 families living in challenging conditions in the Surjani garbage dump area in Karachi, Pakistan.
On the second day of the food aid program, Ramadan packages were distributed in the Mehar district of Dadu, the city most affected by floods in 2022 in Pakistan, and a total of 700 families were reached across two different regions.
During the food package distribution organization held in cooperation between Bait-ul-Mal, Pakistan’s social welfare institution, and the Al-Khair Foundation, operating in the field of humanitarian aid, Pakistanis expressed their love for Türkiye by offering prayers for the country and the Turkish people.
The activities of TİKA, which contribute to experiencing the abundance of Ramadan and building bridges of brotherhood through the “Ramadan Programs” held in the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan on the occasion of Ramadan, will continue with iftar dinner programs and the distribution of Eid gift packages for orphans and disabled children throughout Ramadan.
