With the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), the vocational training center in Al-Wehdat Refugee Camp, home to 55,000 Palestinians in Jordan, was renovated and inaugurated with a ceremony.

TİKA’s Vice President, Dr. Rahman Nurdun; TİKA’s Coordinator in Amman, Abdurrahman Soylu; Al-Wehdat Refugee Camp Manager, Afif Hurani; and other officials attended the opening ceremony held in the Al-Wehdat Palestinian Refugee Camp in the capital, Amman.

The vocational training center will offer courses for young girls and women living in the Al-Wehdat Palestinian Refugee Camp in fields such as sewing and embroidery, hairdressing, computer literacy, and basic education.

Additionally, a new preschool classroom was added to the center, which serves as the only preschool education facility in the camp, while the existing classrooms were renovated.

In a camp where educational and employment challenges are prevalent, this project aims to provide quality education for children and equip young people with income-generating skills.

Currently, 55 Palestinian kindergarten students are also receiving education at the center, which was allocated by the Jordanian government.
