TİKA’s Project to Increase Women’s Employment in the TRNC

The ‘Women in the Digital World of 2023 with Practical Training’ Project, organized in cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) Women Entrepreneurs Council, has been successfully completed. 

Within the scope of the project, which was carried out for the second time, practical training was provided to women entrepreneurs in various fields. 

Training covered topics such as social media management for business, corporate identity and branding, professional logo design and photography. 

Following the training sessions, logos were designed for participants’ businesses and they received guidance on the management of professional social media accounts. 

Tatlısu Mayor, Hayri Orçan; the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Nicosia, Metin Feyzioğlu’s wife, Birgül Feyzioğlu; KTTO Board members; TİKA’s Coordinator in Nicosia, Havva Pınar Özcan Küçükçavuş, and KTTO President Yaprak Özyalçın attended the closing ceremony of the project. 

Participation certificates were presented to women entrepreneurs operating in different sectors who had participated in the training. 

Taking the floor at the ceremony, Mrs. Feyzioğlu expressed her gratitude to those who contributed. 

Underlining the importance of the gains achieved by the project, KTTO President Özyalçın also expressed her gratitude to TİKA, the project supporter. 

TİKA’s Coordinator in Nicosia, Küçükçavuş, stated that TİKA, which implements various projects to increase women’s employment around the world, attaches importance to women-oriented projects in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
