TİKA Shares the Abundance of Ramadan in Uzbekistan

Within the “Ramadan Programs,” Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided approximately 22 tons of food aid to 1,400 families in Uzbekistan.

Packages containing essential food were loaded into vehicles with a ceremony to be delivered to 14 provinces of Uzbekistan.

During his speech at the delivery ceremony, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tashkent, Olgan Bekar expressed that TİKA has prepared food packages to be distributed to those in need not only in Central Asia, but also in Africa and all over the world especially during Ramadan, and that these food packages will be delivered to people in need through Uzbek institutions.

Isahan Abdullayev, Head of Vaqf Foundation, said, “We thank the brother Turkish nation for this meaningful aid provided in Ramadan,” and stated that food parcels will be delivered to those in need in different regions of the country by officials from the foundation.

TİKA’s Program Coordinator in Tashkent, Ali Rıza Tezcan expressed, “We have implemented this project with the aim of making a small contribution to the iftar dinners of our Uzbek brothers and holding a place in their hearts.”

Materials provided by TİKA will be delivered to all provinces of the country in cooperation with the Vaqf Foundation and the Turkish National Cultural Center of Uzbekistan.
