Ethiopia – Addis Ababa Program Coordination Office
With the establishment of the Addis Ababa Program Coordination Office in 2005, TİKA expanded its activities on the continent by opening its first office in Africa.
TİKA’s development cooperation in Ethiopia primarily focuses on capacity-building programs, including vocational training within the health, education and service sectors, as well as providing technical materials and equipment.
Additionally, TİKA places significant emphasis on projects aimed at preserving Ethiopia’s historical and cultural heritage. Notable efforts include the restoration and protection of the Tomb of Najashi in the Mekelle region and the Ottoman Consulate Building in Harar.
