Iraq – Baghdad Program Coordination Office
Following the opening of the Baghdad Program Coordination Office in 2016, TİKA began addressing project requests from all regions of Iraq.
In its efforts to extend Türkiye’s friendly hand to those in need, regardless of religion, language, race or sect, TİKA carries out development cooperation projects that assist all segments of the region, particularly the Turkmens who have fallen victim to terrorism.
In collaboration with Iraqi authorities, TİKA has implemented hundreds of projects and activities across various fields, focusing primarily on education, cultural enrichment, development of administrative units, support for NGOs, healthcare, social needs, agriculture and emergency humanitarian aid. Notable projects include the renovation of the Kayseri Bazaar in Kirkuk, which was destroyed by fire, the reconstruction of Tal Afar and the restoration of the Abdul-Qadir Gilani Complex.
