Somalia – Mogadishu Program Coordination Office
In 2011, following the severe drought in Somalia, relations between Türkiye and Somalia gained momentum after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit during his tenure as Prime Minister.
Consequently, TİKA was assigned to coordinate Türkiye’s aid activities in Somalia, leading to the establishment of the Mogadishu Program Coordination Office in the same year.
Since then, numerous projects and activities have been implemented that directly impact the lives of people in Somalia, particularly in the areas of health, education, agriculture, strengthening social and administrative structures and emergency humanitarian aid.
