Georgia – Tbilisi Program Coordination Office
TİKA has been active in Georgia since its establishment in 1992 and it intensified its efforts with the opening of the Tbilisi Program Coordination Office in 1994.
To date, TİKA has carried out over 650 projects aimed at developing the economic and administrative infrastructure of state institutions and organizations in the country, which was in the process of reconstruction after the collapse of the Soviet Union. These projects focus on establishing democratic institutions and enhancing education, health, water and sanitation, cultural activities, administrative and civil infrastructures and transportation between the two countries.
