Palestine – Ramallah Program Coordination Office
As a result of negotiations between Türkiye and the Palestinian authorities, the Jerusalem Program Coordination Office was opened in 2005. TİKA has been conducting its activities in Palestine through this office, which has been operating in Ramallah since 2006 and the liaison office established in Gaza in 2012.
TİKA prioritizes development cooperation projects that contribute to the social and economic advancement of Palestine, strengthen health, education and physical infrastructure, protect the common historical and cultural heritage and support Palestine in developing its institutional capacity. Projects in Palestine are designed with careful consideration of local conditions and needs. In the West Bank, priority areas include administrative and social infrastructure, education, health, agriculture and animal husbandry. In Jerusalem, the focus is on protecting the common historical and cultural heritage, restoration and education, while in the Gaza region, priority sectors include humanitarian aid, health, water, renewable energy, agriculture and vocational training.
